Skyler Brown is an animator, filmmaker, artist, photographer, and composer. Fueled by a sense of hope amidst pervasive feelings of existential dread, he uses a variety of mediums to highlight glimmers of love and empathy buried beneath the chaos of our dying world.
Skyler's art has been displayed in the Crocker Art Museum and galleries across the US, and his photos have been featured internationally in publications ranging from POLITICO to The Scotsman. He has created music videos and album covers for dozens of musicians, notably Matt Walker (of Smashing Pumpkins), Azam Ali (of Niyaz), and members of Hans Zimmer’s team of composers. In 2014, Tumblr listed Skyler as one of the top 25 artists to watch.
Skyler graduated from CalArts in 2015 with a BFA in Experimental Animation, after majoring in both Film and Fine Arts.
Skyler is currently based in Seattle, Washington.
